My name is Karla MacPherson, I am from the beautiful province of New Brunswick in Canada. I am an enthusiastic dog mom with an affinity for camping and beach combing. In 2011 I moved to Alberta to follow exploration and adventure, in the process finding my passion for GIS. In 2021 I moved back to New Brunswick to be closer to family and friends, quickly realizing local GIS jobs where few and far between. This led me to act on my dream of starting my own GIS consulting business, where I can find the diversity and freedom I long for as a GIS professional and overly curious human being.
I have over 10 years of GIS experience. My GIS career has spanned across many disciplines, including municipal addressing, cartography, asset management, consulting, data collection and much more. I have experience working with AutoCAD, using it together with GIS to convert data between platforms. I enjoy data mining, problem solving, and I am very detail oriented. If you would like to know more about my experience and education, please click here or see the “Resume” section at the top of the page.
Big or small, I believe GIS should be accessible to all organizations. Little to no budget for such things? I can show you how your business can benefit from the use of GIS using FREE open-source GIS software. I will provide you with the tools, documentation, and confidence to use GIS successfully in your organization. I am confident in my GIS knowledge and skills, and I am passionate about what I do. Let’s work together and build a professional relationship based on integrity and collaboration. For questions or to procure my services please click here or see the “Contact” section at the top of the page. I look forward to working with you!
