Karla MacPherson is a GIS professional with a deep passion for spatial technology and a strong desire to make a meaningful impact through her work. Originally from the beautiful province of New Brunswick, Canada, Karla is an enthusiastic dog mom who enjoys camping, beachcombing, and exploring the world around her.
In 2011, Karla moved to Alberta in search of adventure, and it was there that she discovered her love for Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Over the years, she built her skills across various sectors, before returning home to NB in 2021 to be closer to family and friends.
Faced with limited local opportunities in her field, she saw an opportunity to take control of her career path and launched her own GIS consulting business. This move allowed her to embrace the freedom and diversity she craved, both professionally and personally.
Today, Karla partners with organizations of all sizes, cultivating strong relationships fueled by her genuine passion for GIS. She values every opportunity to learn from and connect with her clients, continually growing alongside them.

With over a decade of experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Karla brings a well-rounded and practical approach to spatial problem-solving. Her background spans a wide range of areas, including municipal addressing, cartography, asset management, consulting, and field data collection.
Throughout her career, she has built a reputation for being detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about turning complex data into meaningful insights. Her strengths lie in data mining, troubleshooting, and creating efficient, tailored GIS solutions that meet the unique needs of each organization.
Whether working independently or alongside internal teams, Karla is known for filling critical GIS gaps with a collaborative, supportive, and solutions-focused mindset.
