My name is Karla MacPherson, and I am from the beautiful province of New Brunswick in Canada. I am an enthusiastic dog mom who loves camping and beachcombing. In 2011, I moved to Alberta to seek exploration and adventure, and it was during this time that I discovered my passion for GIS. In 2021, I decided to move back to New Brunswick to be closer to my family and friends. However, I soon realized that job opportunities in GIS were scarce in the area. This led me to pursue my dream of starting my own GIS consulting business, where I could find the diversity and freedom that I long for as a GIS professional and an inquisitive human being.
I have more than 10 years of experience in GIS (Geographic Information System). Throughout my career, I have worked in various areas including municipal addressing, cartography, asset management, consulting, data collection, and more. My expertise includes using AutoCAD in conjunction with GIS to convert data between platforms. I have a passion for data mining, problem-solving, and I am highly detail-oriented.
